How the training takes place

Theoretical part

3 weeks online

This part of the course includes online classes with teachers from the Golovinsky Higher Vocational School of Non-Metallic Technologies via Zoom. Each lesson lasts 3 hours (with a break). Lectures are held every evening on weekdays. Attendance at theoretical classes is mandatory! In the event of a power outage, students receive a recording of the lecture for self-study.

A separate module is devoted to the structure of a forklift and excavator. The main components and assemblies of the machines are examined: engine, transmission, hydraulic system, chassis, and working equipment. Participants learn to understand the principles of machinery operation, identify malfunctions and prevent them. They also study the features of different types of machines, such as front-end loaders, forklifts, excavators with different buckets, etc.

The training includes familiarization with the rules of maintenance: daily checking of equipment before leaving, monitoring fluid levels, checking the condition of tires and hydraulics. Participants learn how to keep technical documentation, inspection and reporting logs.

Theoretical training covers basic knowledge of health and safety, machine structure and operating rules. Participants learn the basic legal requirements for working with heavy machinery, including the rights and responsibilities of an employee, rules of action in emergency situations, and the specifics of working at a construction site or warehouse. Special attention is paid to fire safety and first aid.

Practical part

3 weeks

Practical training involves consolidating theoretical knowledge directly on the equipment. Participants learn how to carry out a pre-trip inspection of the machine: assess the condition of the main systems, the level of fuel and oil, the serviceability of hydraulics, brakes and lighting.

At the stage of active work with the equipment, the participants practice their driving skills. For a forklift, this means lifting, lowering, tilting the forks, and transporting goods in compliance with the rules of balance and safety at a warehouse or construction site. For an excavator, it is boom and bucket control, precise digging, ground leveling, and loading into vehicles. Particular attention is paid to maneuvering in confined spaces.
