“Career Consultant” is a free course of the UNIT 6.0 program from the Reskilling Ukraine project. The course was created for veterans to give them more opportunities for professional development on their way back to civilian life. After completing the course, you will be able to provide people, including your brothers and sisters-in-arms, with counseling services on career development and planning in the modern environment.
The course consists of two parts: intensive theory and internships at project companies/organizations. For the period of offsite classes, the organizers provide course students with free hotel accommodation and meals. Internships take place in partner companies (organizations, territorial communities) at the place of residence. During the course of training, students are formally evaluated. At the end of the training program, students are required to pass a professional certification to receive a state-issued certificate.

In view of this, you need to take into account the need to travel from your city/village to the place of study for the entire period of theoretical classes of the first module. The course organizers provide future career counselors with free hotel accommodation (if necessary) and three meals a day.
All the necessary theoretical material is presented with practical examples so that students get the most out of it, learn it effectively and apply it during their internship. During this module, students will gain knowledge of the basic principles, models and methodology of career counseling. They will also learn how to:

The duration is one month. This part of the course also consists of two modules.
The first module is an internship at a partner company or organization of our project. The internship takes place at the place of residence. If a veteran lives in a place where we do not have a partner, we will definitely find such an organization for our student to do an internship. Internships are an important part of this course. It is necessary to consolidate knowledge in practice, adapt to a new profession, develop communication skills, and feel more confident in the workplace. This part of the course requires a minimum of 20 hours of practice per week for a month. At the same time, we provide students with the support of our team during the internship: weekly meetings with the group supervisor, the possibility of individual consultation with a mentor through chats and calls, meetings with the entire group once a week to analyze the results of the internship, etc.

The program requires full engagement during the on-site training module, as well as at least 50 percent engagement during the internship and certification preparation. Therefore, we recommend that you plan this time in advance to ensure successful completion of the course.
This is the process of passing exams to obtain a document confirming your knowledge and skills to work as a career counselor.
Yes. The organizers cover the cost of accommodation and meals during offline training. The course is completely free for female and male veterans.
The two professions are somewhat similar, but they differ in their approaches, the way they interact with people, and their goals. Coaches rarely provide specific advice and knowledge. They are more focused on helping people through self-discovery. Instead, a career counselor focuses on providing expert information, a structured approach to the case, statistics and analytics to achieve a specific result.
